We had terrific fun making this video of a “behind the scenes” look at a fashion photoshoot.
I would love to hear your reactions to the video. Feel free to drop a comment on the blog or send me an email.
To create a video of less than three minutes, four of us spent a 12-hour day in the studio. Plus, a lot of planning went in ahead of time, as well as many hours of post production after the shoot.
Heartfelt thanks go out to the outstanding team that helped produce the video!
Matthew Shea of Matt of All Media, did the videography, editing and post production. Matt is a true pro and very easy to work with. He came up with some wonderfully creative ideas for the shoot and executed our plan flawlessly. Matt somehow pieced together the film footage, my still images, the interviews, the graphics and the music – and it all fit (seemingly) effortlessly!
Amelia Huckel-Bauer (see her website) is a New York City based actor and model whom I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several times. The day before our shoot, Amelia had spent 16 hours on the set of a television show shoot, but still came with her beautiful energy and enthusiasm. Amelia is naturally photogenic and a joy to work with, always. Plus, she brought some lovely outfits!
Maria Dominici, the makeup artist (see Maria’s website) performed her usual magic. I’ve collaborated with Maria on literally dozens of shoots over the past few years. She not only does an amazing job with the makeup, she also provides some terrific ideas for poses, wardrobe styling, etc. as she did again in this video.
This was the first time I’ve worked with David Distasio, the hair stylist. David came up with fabulous looks for Amelia that fit beautifully for each concept of the shoot. He was great for each of us to work with. David’s hair salon is only a stone’s throw from my studio – hoping this will be the first of many projects together!
I’m already thinking about ideas for the next video!
