Recently I had the great pleasure of shooting with these dynamo young ladies, Marta, age 8, and Margot, age 12. Before we go any further, be sure to click on each image in this post. The pictures will appear LARGER and clearer! This works on a phone or tablet as well.
Margot and Marta are budding actresses and needed headshots for their auditions and play programs. But the images will also be used for a holiday card and gifts for the relatives – and also a surprise gift from Mom to Dad of a print in a glass block for their 15th Wedding Anniversary. You remember – it’s glass, right?
The girls were great fun to shoot with. They could handle anything I threw at them – such as: “Margot – Quick! look to your right and give me a Cat-that-Ate-the-Canary Look!”
We shot about 300 pictures over a couple of hours. Mom and the girls picked about 90 images to consider and had a tough time narrowing them down to 20. “We like them all!” That warms my heart to hear! And I had a tough time narrowing the 20 down to 7 to put in this blog post.
I love Marta’s multi-colored braces that suit her personality to a “T.”
Hoping to be able to photograph these girls every year going forward. Will be a treat to see them grow and develop.
Marta looks up to her big sister – well, at least some of the time. Margot takes care of her, some of the time – but is focused straight ahead – literally and figuratively. By the way, I’m just making this all up. But these are some of the impressions I get from looking at these adorable and expressive faces.
