I’m psyched! Tomorrow, I begin a 10 week course at the International Center of Photography in New York. (See their website.) The course is about building a cohesive personal body of work. I’ve decided to photograph one person over the 10 weeks. My new friend Christina has graciously and enthusiastically agreed to be my subject and partner in this creative venture.
We’ll shoot in the studio, outside and at various other locations. The images will be headshots, full body pictures, and photographs that show some of Christina’s interests and talents (of which there are many – stay tuned!). We haven’t quite figured it all out – but will let the process take us where it wants to.
The images in this post are from our first shoot – just a couple of hours in the studio – last week. We’ll be posting images as the 10 weeks progress along. At the end, I hope to put the photographs together in some way – a book, a video, or a web-based slide show.
Thanks, Christina, for joining with me on what I hope will be a learning experience for us both and a great adventure!
Working both in the studio and on location, photographer Blake Robinson serves the Connecticut communities of Darien, New Canaan, Stamford, Norwalk, Westport and Greenwich.
